Onur Ataman is a professional jazz guitarist, educator and a composer, a graduate of the Royal Conservatory, the Netherlands. After master degree he continued his education for PhD in Leiden University The Netherlands. During his study he traveled whole Europe and played with various artist and venues in the Netherlands and Europe. Ataman has released two studio albums to date.
He has also recorded and toured with a wide variety of other artists.

His guitar playing technique and his compositions have been influenced by various genres of music. Ataman’s style is a colorful and unique blend of good old jazz traditions and his personal vision created with a modern approach. His harmonic and melodic language is influenced by the great jazz and fusion artists such as Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Miles Davis, Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson and Pat Metheny.

His been using Ibanez guitars since the beginning of his carrier. He owns prestige series guitars and AZ models. Ataman describes as the ultimate guitars to own in this world. Ibanez guitars not only guitars but they have a unique way of sounding and expressing musical toughts and ideas in a very soulful way.

In the same time Ataman gives seminars, workshopes and lessons to a large groups of people all around the europe and Turkey under the name of ”Jazz & Innovations”. Ataman is a TedX speaker and Istanbul Enka Schools Music Department Head since 2020.
